FAMILY OUTREACH
In our ongoing commitment to serving Indigenous families, Family Outreach Indigenous spoke services provide a continuous and inclusive platform for parents and children to engage in programming both together and separately.
Within the nurturing environment of TOH, families are welcomed to embark on a journey of empowerment and growth. Starting with Red Road, they seamlessly transition to various supportive services, such as accessing childcare at the West Edmonton Family Resource Network Hub or enrolling in educational programs at institutions like Yellowhead Tribal College or The Learning Center.
Throughout the day, families are encouraged to participate in activities aimed at fostering social connections, wellness, and cultural engagement. From workshops on star blanket making to attending annual Indigenous gatherings, each interaction is designed to uplift and support.
Our outreach efforts extend beyond program activities to provide essential services such as legal support, counseling, and access to community resources. While our primary focus lies in enhancing social connections and supports, our holistic approach also impacts caregiver capacity, building supports, and child development domains. Recognizing the diverse needs of families, our program offers both universal and targeted support, ensuring that every individual receives the assistance they require to thrive.
